The Commission of Dossiers develops wide activities for popularizing the documents stored at its central archive. Among them are public discussions on these topics, such as at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" on 10 May 2016; the participation and presentation of collections at scientific and public conferences, for example at the conference "Totalitarismat v Balgaria 1944-1989: preosmislyane chrez znanie" [Totalitarianism in Bulgaria 1944-1989: Rethinking through Knowledge], 21-22 November 2016, Regional Museum of History, Vratza; public discussion "Urotsite na minaloto, pametta za komunizma i osmislyaneto na totalitarnite rezhimi" [The Lessons of the Past, the Memory of Communism and the Reflection of Totalitarian Regimes], 24 June 2016 at the Central Military Club in Sofia; public discussion "Znanie i Tsennosti - (ne)izuchavaneto na totalitarnite rezhimi v balgarskoto uchilishte" [Knowledge and Values - (Lack of) the Study of Totalitarian Regimes in the Bulgarian School], 6 June 2016 at the House of Europe in Sofia; international conference "The Communist Secret Services - Myths and Realities", 25 November 2015 at the House of Europe, Sofia etc.

These events attracted broad attention by academics, students, politicians from Bulgaria and abroad, and intensified debates on the recent past in Bulgaria.
