The documents mentioned in the collection were collected by Varga himself, throughout his life. In 1998 Varga decided to donate his legacy to Forum Institute. The legacy includes a large variety of documents.  The majority of documents are from the time when Varga was a secratary in CSEMADOK. Other material is linked to Hungarian youth organisations. 
After the donation, Forum Institute made the collection fully accessible to public. The importance of the collection lies in the fact that it shows the problems of the Hungarian minority in Czechoslovakia. It also shows how the largest cultural organisation of ethinc Hungarians in Slovakia, CSEMADOK, worked.
