Mária Helle is a printer, typographer, photographer, and an educator of the Hungarian language, born in 1941 in Budapest. She studied at the Loránd Eötvös University of Budapest and Hochschule für Graphik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. Then she worked for different Hungarian publishers as a book designer. From 1977 to 1983, she held the permanent position of typographer as well as technical editor of the journal “World in Move.” She teaches Hungarian as a foreign language at the Studio Helle, Budapest.
