In 1995, a lot of events were organized in connection with the topic of performance art. The most important was a lecture series about the history, aesthetics, and theoretical approach of the genre by leading theoreticians (László Beke, Péter György, Sándor Radnóti, László Földényi F., Gábor Klaniczay, Endre Szkárosi, and József Tillmann).
On the webpage on this thematic year, short parts of the lectures and relevant links can be consulted. The other important project of this year was an international call to artists to add to the performance video collection of Artpool. The videos sent by artists were screened at two ten-day-long festivals entitled “Video expedition in the performance-world.” The project is documented in detail in a
catalogue.
